This fall we took a family road trip to Omaha, NE. We all had a lot of fun exploring a new city and spending lots of time together. Elton loved the Omaha Zoo and Children's Museum (he did not love the car ride)

Elton's Halloween

Here are the few pics we have of Elton in his Halloween costume. He didn't get a chance to actually go out and trick or treat, but he did put on part of his lion costume at home and watch the kids come to our house. He didn't have any smiles for the camera, but he did enjoy seeing the kids come to the door in the costumes. He was sick and spent the day in emergency rooms and ambulances. It was a rough week, but he is doing great now and full of lots of fun energy!

Fall 2011

Elton is now over 13 months old. I have been very busy getting back into the swing of things at work. I don't have any pictures downloaded to the computer yet, so I will have to give you a written update on the past few weeks with pictures to follow later.

Elton:

• Started a new daycare this year
• First week: didn't make a peep, did not like the girl his same age because she took his paci
• Second week cried every time I dropped him off, still cried whenever that same girl went next to him, started to enjoy the other kids
  
• Third week: Likes going to daycare, has a little crush on a three year old girl, no longer cries, makes lots of noise!
• Loves playing outside, digging in the dirt or sand, running around the grass, picking up rocks, climbing the steps, and playing in the leaves
• Begs to go outside almost constantly (can't wait to see how that goes this winter)
• Got a terrible ear infection and it still recovering. Very high temps and miserable for a few days.
  
• Loves puppies and books!
• Went to Barnes and Noble story time and listed to books about dogs
  
• Drinks from a straw and loves to eat cupcakes, muffins, and ice cream
  
• Is now 23.5 pounds
• Attended Heather and Becci's wedding reception in Madison, WI and visited with family
• Took his first bus and taxi ride

Jon

• Works every day plus is on call every 4th weekend and a few nights a week
• Has after school crew with Elton and Macy everyday until I come home from work
• Managed to take a gazebo off our roof after it blew up there
• Cleaned up toilet paper from our lawn and house on a nice Saturday morning
• Has been enjoying Wisconsin sports

Jacque

• Works everyday
• Started selling Avon
• Was annoyed waking up to toilet paper in our lawn and on the house
• Went shopping with Elton
  
• Laughs often at Jon and Elton
• Cooking up a storm (ok not at all, but I wish)

Elton- 12 months/ 1 year!!

Elton has turned one! He had a great birthday party, a great birthday and is a great toddler!
