Spring Break!!

I am on Spring Break this week! Very exciting, I know... I have not accomplished too much, but have been enjoying the extra free time to relax.

Sunday, Jon and I went to a VIP Macy's Wedding registry event. Although we are pretty sure no one may even purchase a single item off our Macy's registry, we have been able to take advantage of some freebies!

Monday, Jon and I had our last dancing class: The Fox Trot. It went really well and we had a great time. About half way through the class Jon said we were the "Super Stars of the Fox Trot" So it went better than the swing, but I still don't expect us to be dancing with the stars anytime soon.

Tuesday, I shopped the day away with my mom.

Wednesday, Last night My Dad, Joe, Jon and I went to the Minnesota Timberwolves game vs. the Memphis Grizzlies. It was a lot of fun. Although the T-wolves are having a less then stellar year they did pull off the win at the end, which was exciting!
I volunteered to drive, which was interesting... with 3 backseat drivers all trying to tell me where to go, but we survived!

Thursday, well today I have done nothing so far, and don't really have plans to accomplish much. Maybe pack for the weekend, we are going to Sauk City for Easter.

That is my week so far, here are a few pics from the game last night.

100 days!

The countdown begins!

I know this blog was not meant to be about wedding planning, but it is what is consuming Jon and my life right now.

Swing may not be our thing…

Dance lessons are underway. The first night (last Monday) we were pretty nervous, but were feeling pretty good about the Waltz. We seem to have it down even though we still messed up quite a few times, which just made us start laughing at each other. I guess that is better than the alternative, getting mad at each other. The class has about 20 people in it and most of them appear to be taking it a little more seriously then Jon and I, but we had fun.

Day 2: Review the waltz… everything is great. Then… we move onto Swing. Well this did not go well for Jon and I. We managed to figure out the basic steps, after lots of trial and error. Then the spins started and we were not the cream of the crop. Luckily we did avoid falling completely on the floor and instead fell into each other a few times. Gracefulness and Balance are not our things.

Next time we will be doing the Fox Trot… who knows what that will bring.
For now we are dealing with our limited dance ability and sticking with the waltz. So don’t be anticipating anything amazing on the dance floor in June.

Wedding Prep in Full Force

Jon and I have been keeping very busy getting ready for the wedding in June. Every week it seems like we have at least one meeting to go to with a vendor or the Pastor.

Last weekend both of our parents came down to give a hand with a few things and now we have all of the invites ready to go only waiting to be sealed. I am not sure if either Jon or I feel eager to lick over 100 envelopes…. Jon and his dad also put labels on lots and lots of candles. We also started our dance lessons last week, so I am sure we will be spinning circles around the dance floor in no time…(maybe?) Today Jon and I went to apply for our marriage license… so it will be official. We also met with the Pastor again to go over some of the ceremony details.

Everything is coming into place. Of course there is still a lot to do, but Jon is ready and willing to be put to work!
