Vacation, Anniversary and a Baptism
Jon and I had a full week which included a road trip to Rapid City, South Dakota, celebrating our 1st anniversary and the baptism of our godson Pace.
First the trip:
Sunday: Mitchell: Home of the World's Only Corn Palace
Monday: Camberlain Overlook
Wall Drug
Downtown Rapid City (City of Presidents)
Tuesday: Mount Rushmore
The weather was terrible the whole time we were in rapid city. Unfortunately it was so foggy we couldn't actually see Mount Rushmore. This picture is what it looked like when we arrived
A few hours later it improved enough to notice a mountain. We waited around longer and it started getting worse, so that was the most we saw of the Presidents.

Thursday and Friday: drive home... I guess I must have gotten sick of taking pictures or we saw nothing picture worthy
Anniversary
Although we took this vacation in part to celebrate our first anniversary, we were not actually in South Dakota on the 14th. So Saturday we headed to the cities. We got a free cake topper from Roseville Bakery who made our wedding cake, did a little shopping and had a nice dinner at Outback Steakhouse. After we returned home on Sunday evening, we actually took the original cake top out of the freezer and enjoyed some of that cake as well!

Sunday was not only our anniversary but also Pace's baptism
