Ready for the Countdown to Begin

I am ready for school to be out for the summer. These last 5 weeks are unfortunately going to be very busy. Lesson plans, grading, tests, projects, and special events will fill up my time. Hopefully that will help make the time go by quickly.
Although, it looks like I may be teaching summer school, so not really sure what I am looking forward to. I do want the job and the money... but of course the idea of sitting around all day with no obligations is also appealing!

Last week Jon and I took a home buyers workshop. We are completely sure if we are going to buy yet, but wanted to learn more so we went to the class. It was good info, but lots of stuff to think about now.

We are also waiting for the birth of our new nephew sometime this week. Other than that life is still moving on as usual.

Well it has been a little while, so I thought a new post would be nice. Especially since Jerod recently informed me that he checks this blog every day. I am sure he is getting a little sick of seeing Jon's goofy picture everytime he logs in.

So Spring break is over, here is how it went down
Friday: after school get in the car for the 5 hour drive to Sauk City, WI
Saturday: hang out with Jon's family. Go to Madison to see Heather and Becci. Go to lunch at the Great Dane. Go shopping. Got a free gift at Macy's with my Clinque purchase. Get happy hour refreshments at Sonic! Play dominos with Mark and Sue, Sue dominates at dominos. Jon thinks she cheated;)
Sunday: have a nice dinner at Jon's grandmas and meet her new puppy. Then drive 5 hours back to Arlington
Monday:i don't remember much which means I slept in, watch soap operas, and watched HGTV Jon worked
Tuesday: Create Marketing lesson plans
Wednesday: Grade Ad Campaign Papers, accounting questions and Desktop Publishing projects. Burn sausage and set off smoke alarm. Decided to go out to Triple E's for dinner. Jon worked
Thursday: Watched HGTV......made horrible dinner. Jon worked
Friday: finally decide to get some HTML assignments made. Go to Gaylord to the bank, stop at the new Godfather's for lunch. Jon worked. Drive 2 hours to Sauk Centre
Saturday: Wonder why my mom is making such a big lunch, we usually don't get any lunch made, either on our own or go out to Jitters. Eat big yummy lunch. Go uptown to check out the local hot spots (Jon went golfing) Spend forever in Meads and then Cobblestone Court is closed :( will have to return soon to check out one of my favorite stores. Go to Jitters to get coffee. Go to Walmart and buy clothes?? Then go to Gerrards for appetizers, drinks, and darts with Jerod and Sarah.
Sunday: Easter Church service at 8 am. (so tired) Hunt for easter baskets in unfindable locations. Eat candy Eat Easter dinner. sit around exhausted. Drive 2 hours back to Arlington. Watch HTML video for school.
Monday: back to work for me, so tired

Today I am being driven crazy by the shinglers on our roof. They have their radio blaring. The constant pounding sounds like they are going to fall through the roof. I think I am going to have to get out of this apartment very soon if they don't stop!!! The lights are actually shaking and blinking

Spring Break!

Well I am officially on Spring Break. I am aware this may be my last Spring Break since it is not on the school calendar for next year so I need to really enjoy it!

So far I spent the weekend in Sauk City, WI visiting Jon's family.
Now it is Monday and I am going to head to the grocery store so I can cook some meals around here this week. Since I am around all day I will have time to cook
Here is my menu plan for the week so far:
Egg Salad Sandwiches
Italian sausage and pasta
Cauliflower, Bacon, Lettuce Salad
Breakfast Sandwiches
Some sort of Trifle
(I received 3 trifle bowls for our wedding and showers and haven't used a one yet)

I really enjoy cooking and I have so many great kitchen tools and appliances. One part I absolutely hate is cleaning up as Jon can probable attest to. Someday Jon and I plan to invest in a Kitchen Aid mixer and then I will be whipping up baked goods too!

Anyone have any good recipes or ideas I should try this week?
