Memorial Day Weekend

It was great for Jon and I to both have a three day weekend. Even with the extra day the weekend still went fast. Friday we headed out to WI to visit Jon’s parents and stayed there until early Monday morning. We spent one day in Wisconsin Dells. It was very busy, people all over. We took some fun old time photos and a boat tour. The Upper Dells boat tour also made a couple stops. We even saw a dog jump over a cliff, amazing! I forgot my camera so I don’t have any pictures to add to the blog to show the weekend events, so everyone will have to use their imaginations!
Monday Jon and I hosted as Memorial Day Grill Out. Our grill got its first real work out with potatoes, corn on the cob, brats, chicken, and veggie dogs! Joe, Sadie, Fox, Justin and Abe all came over. A good time was had by all.
I guess I don’t have too much to say, but it was a fun weekend, went to fast! Just felt like I should add something to the blog since its been a while. By the way, we are still really enjoying the AC!
Next weekend will be another busy one with a Meet and Greet (baby shower) up north for Fox.

Oh Ya, only 8 more student teaching days left!!! Then I start summer school...

I love A/C

I love air conditioning!! I know it is pretty early in the season and really hasn’t been too terribly hot, but I love air conditioning. Our apartment building turned on the air last Friday. Pervious to this we had the windows open and everything was ok, not great ok. After the air was turned on we closed the windows. Monday it was over 80 degrees in the apartment and not pleasant to sleep in. Apparently out thermostat was reversed.. how that happened I have no idea. The office told us to turn the temp to 90 degrees and then the AC finally kicked in. Which makes me wonder is that the reason our place was so arm this winter? They have since come and fixed out thermostat so that is accurate. And out apartment is so cool, it is amazing. After spending several hot days and nights last summer with no AC, this seems like such a luxury! Yesterday I walked into the tiled bathroom barefooted and it was cool on my toes, I was so excited!

Anyway, I am looking forward to the summer in our nice cool apartment! Anyone who wants to cool down can come on over anytime!

Here is a picture of Jon last night… Sitting on the couch watching TV and drinking a pop, all while wearing his sunglasses in the dark. His excuse for wearing the sunglasses…. He was going to go look in the mirror to see how they look, he just hadn’t gotten there yet!!

I was going to write about the mean student telling me to shut-up, but I deceided to focus on something on a lighter note. It is always great coming home to hang out with Jon every night!
